Maria Frantzi holds a Diploma in Architecture from the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). She also holds a Masters Degree from the Department of Geography, Paul Valery Montpellier III University (DESS Amenagement Rural). She is PhD candidate at the Department of Geography and Regional Planning, National Technical University of Athens. She has participated in various EU Projects (DG XI and DG XIII) on Environmental and Transportation Planning. As an Architect Engineer and Urban-Regional Planner she has worked in a number of projects of Private and Public interest. The focus of her PhD is on “Landscape Evaluation and Management”.
She has a rich professional experience in both Architecture and Planning.
Her research interests focus on Integrated Environmental Planning, Evaluation Methods, Regional Policies and Development, as well as Depiction, Analysis and Management of Visual Resources.
