Anastasia Stratigea has a Diploma in Surveying Engineering from AUTH (Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki) and a PhD from National Technical University of Athens, (1996). Her Ph.D. focus is on “Networks and Regional Development “.
At present she is an Associate Professor at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Department of Geography and Regional Planning.
She has participated in a number of EU Projects (mainly in DG VII and DG XIII) as well as National Projects on Transportation Planning, Trans-European Networks, Regional Development, Information Technologies, Teleworking, Tourism, Virtual Organization etc.
Her research interests focus on Regional Development and Planning, Impacts of ICTs on Regional Development, Regional Policy, Foresight Methodologies, Participatory Methodologies and Modeling, Tourism and Regional Development, Border Areas and Evaluation in Planning, etc.
