Vassilios Vescoukis holds a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from National Technical University of Athens (1991) and a PhD from National Technical University (1996), on ‘Software Engineering’.
At present he is Assistant Professor at the School of Rural and Surveying Engineering of NTUA.
He has participated in a number of EU and National projects on the strategic planning of information systems, applications and services, of e-commerce applications and frameworks, the use of new technology in education, as well as the design, management and certification of large information systems.
He has published extensively in books and journals of his field of expertise.
His research interests include Knowledge bases for software evolution, Distributed and multi-tier software architectures, Network-based support for education and training, as well as Social implications of globalization and new technologies in the continuing process of the transformation of society.
